I can't believe I forgot these images of Mitzi and Albert. These were taken last year when Albert was still with us.

Farewell Albert

Camera Critters

2003-2014
I had to say goodbye to another pet today.Three months after we had to put
Delilah to sleep I had to end the suffering of another dog. Albert had been battling
Congestive Heart failure for a year now and recently formed as mass in his
abdomen and in order to avoid any more suffer
from an illness that would only decline, we chose to put him to sleep.
I will always miss my baby boy. He would have been eleven this year.

(First picture I've ever taken of him the day we adopted him in February 2009)

Camera Critters: Goodbye Delilah

Camera Critters

1997-2013

Today we had to say goodbye to Delilah.
Age and illness finally took it's toll on her and we
decided it was best to put her to sleep to stop any further suffering.
Slowly she wasted away to skin and bone and became more weak
far from the feisty and energetic dog she once was. I remember
the day we got her I was ten years old soon to turn eleven when
we rescued her summer of 1998.
I will miss her forever.

Here is the final photo I've taken of her about four weeks ago.

Camera-Critters #249 Say hello to Mitzi

Camera Critters

It was three week before Christmas when all of a
sudden I caught glimpse of a little head popping
out of that vacant lot a house down from our home.
It was a little stray Calico cat that was hungry and lost
pleading for someone to love her.

For the next following weeks we fed her and provided her with
a box to sleep in right out front our door. At first we were on the search
for someone to give her a home when in truth she already was.
Mitzi quickly became a strong presence in our lives to the point where
we couldn't bare to let her go.

I never owned a cat before but I've always wanted to know what it was
like to have one since I was a little girl.

She gets along fine with Delilah; often rubbing herself against her, sniffing
her face with her tail straight up and even at one point even giving a head bonk
to the soon to be 16 year old dog. All though Albert is another story
but I'm sure they'll be able to coexist just fine one day.

I'll post more soon.

new pet pics

Albert

she runs like Bambi

I've been very busy so that's why I haven't been around.

The kids are doing great and Delilah is still going on at

nearly 15 years young and allthough what we believe to

be arthritis in the hips seem to have slown her

down a bit she's still a spunky little critter who likes

to frolic in the backyard.
